I have been developing work about my home county of Essex for the past three years. The more I explore its people and history, the prouder I am to call it home. As a photographer, I am eager to collaborate not only with other creatives but also with anyone who has a story to tell. I believe Essex is full of people whose creativity may not have been nurtured through education but who still have unique and powerful perspectives.

I have experience working on several exhibitions and understand the planning and teamwork required to make them successful. Last year, when faced with barriers such as high entry fees and complex applications, I organised my own DIY exhibition at my home in Essex. Funded by myself and open to all local artists, it became a true reflection of Essex’s spirit — taking initiative, rejecting outside pressures, and coming together as a community to celebrate creativity.
