Hayley Wells is a Chelmsford-based illustrator with an MA in Children’s Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art. Their books have been shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards, featured on television, and published worldwide.

Hayley is a member of both Hive Artists Studios and Artists At The Meadows where they run a semi-regular Zine Club to encourage creativity in an accessible way. Hayley has also been selected as an emerging artist for Concrete Canvas 2026.
